Virginians Weigh In On Key Policy Issues
Poll Highlights

- Approval of Governor Youngkin
- Approval of President Biden
- Crime
- Education
- Energy
- Housing
- Inflation
- Student loan forgiveness
- Transportation
Virginians see housing, crime, and transportation as key policy issues and question the value of a college education
45%
Disagree that higher ed is worth the cost
49%
See crime as a serious issue
52%
Approve of Youngkin's handling of his job
72%
See affordable housing as a serious issue
The poll results reflect a seeming increase in the disconnect or distrust between leadership and the people, and it is not partisan. The poll reflects that more needs to be done by leadership — administrative, legislative and gubernatorial — to address the salient issues that are being borne by the people in the commonwealth. The voters are looking for leadership to produce results for all Virginians.
Governor L. Douglas Wilder
