A majority of Virginia parents are willing to have their children vaccinated
This poll was conducted from April 6-23, 2021, and asked Virginians for their perspectives on:
- Parents' willingness to have their children vaccinated against COVID-19
- Parents' willingness to send their children back to in-person school
Parent perspectives on a return to in-person schooling
73%
are comfortable with in-person school
60%
would like limited class sizes
59%
would like required quarantines
56%
would like required COVID testing73
The willingness of a substantial majority of parents to have their children vaccinated, seemingly attests to the belief of the availability and efficacy of the vaccines however, the almost triple numbers of hesitancy in African Americans (32%), and Asians (34%), then whites (12%) to send their children back to in-person school reflects the historical skepticism.
